Sweet baby boy...

I did this card a few weeks ago, but couldn't find which folder I tossed it in! DOH!! Anyhoo, I'm NOT getting "baby fever" by posting all these baby items for you all..lol I've got my hands full with my 2 little ones as it is! I just enjoy creating baby items with paper and cloth:) I've been a busy bee with filling orders and spending some family time together this weekend. We went and picked strawberries in New Jersey and the weather was PERFECT! I made a strawberry and creme pie with our pickings:)

Supplies: SU! Bashful Blue & Certainly Celery CS, Papertrek Ink white cs(if you have not tried this, YOU NEED TOO...its supa heavy weight and GREAT for cs bases), Sweet Pea paper is from Mike's, SU! Riveting stamp set & Aida Cloth BG(stamped with white craft pad), CM circle punches, SU! paper piercer, M's ribbon, and Silver EB powder.

Chic baby pad...

This is the latest project I have been working on! I'm tickled "pink" with how well it turned out! This changing pad is portable AND washable! I use this one for my youngest when we have to(unwillingly) use the public changing station! And the best part is I can wash and dry it with regular laundry:) The pad itself is sewn all around and has finished corner seams which adds a very nice clean look. The pink and brown material is backed with super soft wavy chenille and keeps its softness even after millions of washes! I used some of this same material to make Addisons cradle bedding(I will have to dig up a photo of that for my blog...lol). I will be taking special orders for changing pads in August if you are interested. I will be out of town visiting with my twinkie sis in GA(also where I purchase my chenille).

Sooo thats how I came up with this lovely color combo:)

Certainly Celery CS, CM turquoise cs, Cuttlebug swirls folder, M's white satin ribbon, M's dollar stamp wedding cake, Karen Foster Snap Stamps, SU! slot punch,1/8 in. hole punch, Singo white gel pen to trace the holes punched, Uchida Giga scalloped square, and Silver embossing powder.

Coaster boxes...

A few more cute ideas for the coaster boxes. I love doing monograms on these, so you can personalize each gift. I have been busy all this week filling teacher orders and this one is for a great new customer and friend, Elizabeth. Each box includes: 1 altered notepad, coordinating post-it booklet, and 2 boxes of chocolate nuggets(each box contains 3 each). I found the instructions on the chocolate boxes on splitcoast and have been trying out different sizes, they are very easy to make and can add such a cute touch to this gift. If you'd like any of the details just drop me a line:)

I have also been "tagged" by Cindy Brockes(click here) @ My Inky Fingers...so I will try to find 7 things you may not know about me!

1. I'm a Gemini AND also have an identical twin sister!
2. My blog name is the combination of my girls middle names...Grace-mingmei and Addison Jade
3. I'm a military brat(Navy) AND spouse(Marine Corps)
4. I married when I was only 20...good thing kids didn't come that early...lol
5. My favorite food is Pho...Vietnamese noodle soup...we eat it at least once a week
6. I'm learning to speak Chinese(catonese dialect) with my kids
7. People ask how I "do it all" with 2 little ones and staying sane AND crafting...I don't sleep much...lol I can function on a few hours sleep and get up the next morning and do it all over again...lol

Bridal shower samples...

It's the time of year...wedding season!! I made a few of these samples up for my sis-in-law. These are the size of the standard A2 card(I LOVE THIS SIZE!!!) which takes up alot less paper, but it also handy to toss in your purse while enroute to the party! For the "roses" invite I simply used the smallest rose in the SU! Wild Rose set. I used Cranberry crisp to stamp the roses and Thyme for the stems and although its hard to see in the photo, I used an Itty Bitty bg stamped in Marigold Morning to surround the roses(it looks pretty IRL). The Cranberry Crisp can be harsh, but I think its better to stamp with a dark color if you are going to lay vellum over it. With the vellum on top, it looks more like a "soft rose" color now:). Lastly, I just topped it off with M's ribbon for a final touch. This invite was just printed paper from We R' Memory Keepers(urban window collection) and has a simple white bg with earth tone flowers. I couldn't resist outlining the flowers with my Clear Sakura Gel Pen...they are really sparkly! The printed paper is backed with CM olive cardstock. I also used M's ribbon for a final touch. These invites would be perfect for a garden wedding or tea as well. Thank you to "starofmay" on SCS for the word arrangement. She used this same style on a shower invite she did. Of course, I just changed the names and voila!

Baby Shower Invites...

Is it just me, or does it seem like when you start having a family yourself, that everyone else is too?? At least thats how it seems to me...lol Babies galore! Anyhoo, I made these invites up for a friend who is hosting a shower. This is the sample one...hers are the 25 hiding behind it...lol There are alot of layers here, but it made for a nice finished look.

Supplies include: SU! certainly celery cs, CM raspberry, Bazzill white cs, SU! "Think Big", Itty Bitty BG stamps, and Thyme classic ink, M's preggo lady & ribbon, MM vintage copper brads, & Black Stazon Ink. I also used the red & green blades with the smallest CM oval cutting template. I printed the shower info. on Bazzill white cs and put it thru the printer. It was worth a few paper jams because it inked really well...lol

Tasty Treat...

I hope all you Mommy's and Mommy's "in-waiting" had a wonderful Mother's Day! It was nice for my family to spend some time together. My hubby really spoiled me:) I woke up to a nice breakfast of waffles, omelets, and fresh fruit! Check out my fruit bouquet...is that not incredible??!! Its so nice to have in the fridge and just pick a stick of fruit out whenever we want...lol We also had a nice lunch at Outback and they were giving away FREE cheesecake to all the Mom's....mmmmmm, cheesecake:) It has been a very long weekend here, with an apt. fire displacing both my bottom floor neighbors, the kiddos being very sick, and my hubby having to work all weekend(he finally came home at 6 a.m. Sunday morning!!) This was certainly a nice way to start a fresh week! To my wonderul Husband and two little girls...I love you all!

Frames for Grandma & Grandpa...

I can finally posts these since my parents received them today:) These were made up for Mother's and Father's Days! Yes, I know, Father's Day is still far off...but not the new shipping rates....LOL!! These were made for them to put in their office and show off the grandkids:)

Supplies for the Red Paisley: PP(not sure of vendor), Bazzill white CS, M's ribbon, and SU! fresh filler stamped with Black Stazon. I used my CM circle punch for the letters, mounted them on dimensionals, and put a clear bubble over them.

Supplies for "cute as a bug" frame: Basic Grey dot paper, SU! Bugs and Kisses, Kraft ribbon(I rub my Cool carribbean pad over), and SU! hodpodge hardware(I cut off the bottom portion so I could use the frame as a charm).

Teacher Appreciation...

I have been crazy busy with "Teacher Appreciation" orders...and I don't even have any kiddos in school yet...lol It will be here before you know it! Anyhoo, these are all special orders I have been filling for friends and customers:) These coaster boxes are PERFECT because you can put a little bit of everything in them. I did use a ton of products so if you'd like any info. on them, please just email me:) There are too many vendors to list...lol But the basics are: coasters for the box, altered notepads, 6 nugget chocolate boxes, and post-it note covers. For a final touch I wrapped them in cellophane and added a botique label:)

"tech" support please...lol

Ok gals, since I'm officially a dork when it comes to PC stuff, I'm in need of some help again. I have had several emails about "subscriber" questions. I myself am subscribed to a few blogs and simply had to put in my email address and according the emails I have rec'vd this option is not available on my blog. I personally don't care if someone subscribes or not(not keeping points here..lol), but would like to have the option available for those who have asked. Sooo, how does this option become avail. on my blog??? Do I have to insert a link somewhere?? And good lord, don't braise me...but still working on the linking issue...lol It took alot of courage to set up this blog all on my own, and shoot, I only had to "plug" stuff in....LOL!! Ok, you gals are great, I know you will come thru for me:)))
Thanks
Dawn

NEW BANNER...

Isn't she puuuurty??!!! I'm so thrilled with the wonderful work that Dawn Knapp did with my requests on this beautiful banner! I had a few things I really wanted to see on it: green color(for the "jade" of course, soft yellows(my fav color), and tulips(my fav flower). This is the final product and I'm so excited to share it! Her prices are VERY reasonable(the cheapest I've seen!) and she is a sweet delight to work with:) So why you still here?? Go check out her website!...teehee! www.dknappdesigns.blogspot.com

ps!! If anyone would be so kind as to tell me how to insert the link on my posts that would be great! I've tried to play with it tonight, but its not working for me:(

Pretty Princess...

This is a special customer order! I love this Pretty Princess set, as I have 2 "princesses"(some days...lol)myself. I have used this stamp on so many projects because she is very versatile. I only had a few requests on this order: frame the princess with Jaden's name(as though its "actually" princess Jaden) and a coordinating card. If the card looks familiar its because I've posted it before, this one just has slight mods to it:) The frame is from Target and covered with pp(which I've had for so long I don't know the vendor!) and tied with M's ribbon. The princess is stamped in black stazon and colored with watercolor pencils. I added some bling to her outfit with stickles and 3 crystals on her crown, although I know its hard to see in the photo! I also added some pink prima's by the name tag and put some rhinestones on top. Jaden's name is stamped with my new favorites, Karen Foster snap stamps. The card is SU! lavender for the base and then I covered it with the princess pp and used a scallop punch for the frame. The ribbon is a "belly band" that simply slips off the top so you don't have to re-tie...genius I know...lol Hope Jaden has a "magical" birthday:)

Fiesta anyone?

Just a special order I put together for a friend:) She had told me what she wanted and I put those elements together and came up with some fun invites! The final product was printed with party info., just didn't put it on here for security reasons...I'm sure shes not wanting any crashers...lol Anyhoo, pretty basic start with some CS cardstock, a few layers and stickers. Yes, I said "stickers"! These are considered "old school" in paper crafting, but look how cute they turned out??? I cut the stickers out, backed them with chipboard and even put some stickles on the salt rims of the margarita glasses! I also used, SU! window punch, brads, and ink. Just click on the pics for a larger view. TFL!

SHOCKED!!

I must say, when I put up my burp cloths for sale last week...I never imagined what kind of response I would receive! Lets just say I have been SLEEPING at my sewing machine....lol This has been a total surprise for me...and yet so fun! I've gotten to play with some new material that has been "hiding" in my closet:) These are just a small sampling of the orders I filled over the weekend! The basket ensemble is a purchase from my sis-in-law for a co-workers new baby! It includes: 1 set of burp cloths, embossed hawaiian print frame, 3 onesies, monogrammed card, and nugget box(the one with the large prima on it:)...oh yeah, the tin is from the Target dollar spot! Thank you for letting me share my passion of crafts with total strangers:)) You all ROCK! I'm still taking orders if you are interested...just drop me an email and I will get sewing:) If you don't see fabric you like on my post...I can send pics of the material I have in stock!
