Spring is here...or at least a tad...lol
It hasn't quite arrived just yet in NY, but I'm MORE than ready for it! This was a cute card I did with my sis this past week. My postings have been beyond sparse because she was in town visiting me and we also made a short road trip to Boston:) Needless to say, I'm itching to do some more crafting soon! Supplies include: Edgy Eloquence stamp set, Label Classics stamp set, PP(not sure of brand), CM cs, faux chipboard on the flowers, 3-D glue dots to pop up the flowers, white gel pen for border, rhinestones, brads, and M's ribbon

Sweet Lil' Feet...
Finally getting around to framing the kiddos little feet! I'm not really sure why I chose these colors to stamp their feet in, but Gracies were done 3 years ago so I had to go based off those colors. I have stamped several copies of their feet when they were both newborns, for the sake of being able to do multiple projects with them. The frames were actually covered in blue pastels so I took the paper off and came up with more cheerful colors:) Supplies used: Carter's first foot/hand print frames(ribbon was already attached), SEI pp(fruit stand), M's ribbon, CM cs(for letters), pop bubbles for over the letters, and modpodge. This was a pretty quick project, other than going back and adding the stripes paper. I had originally done the whole frames in cherries, but decided it needed something more. I'm really pleased with how it turned out:)

For a dear friend...
I have a dear friend, Michelle, whom these lovely thank-you cards are for! Hopefully she is not "peeking" on my blog:) She is the #1 reason I got started in stamping...all by showing me this silly catalog one night...lol She no longer is a "hop and skip" away, but her friendship is very dear to me! Love you girl! I'm sending her a little box of goodies soon and this was the last thing to finish up so I could fill the package. Supplies include: Creative Memories CS, MM pp, M's ribbon, faux stitching, Letter Press stamp set, Itty Bitty BG, White craft ink, chocolate chip ink, and 3-D glue dots.
Hmmmm...

Yummy worms...
Just a fun gift I'm going to throw in with my nephews birthday present. I can hardly believe he is going to be 1 already!!! He is the son of my twin sister...we were preggers at the same time last year, her first, my second:) Anyhoo, back to the "squirmy" jar...which I might add is all boy and is going to contain some gummy worms! Supplies used, CM cs, Bugs and Kisses stamp set, ink: real read, brilliant blue, glorious green, and orange, M's ribbon(grosgrain for the lid and spool yellow ribbon to tie on the tag), and tag punch. I also used a small hole punch on the orange CS for a neat "peek-a-boo" effect on the glass jar. To line all the holes up nicely, I simply used my paper piercing guide from SU! and traced the small holes for eyelets...they worked perfectly! SO cute!

First Commisioned Card:)
Yeah!!! I have officially been asked to make a card:) None other than by my Mom, of course! She asked if I could make a wedding card for a friends daughter and this is what I came up with. My style is clean and simple, one of these days I will be brave and bust out with some BOLD colors...lol Anyhoo supplies include: Creative Memories CS(white and silver), Cuttlebug Textiles embossing folder, silver brads, M's wedding cake $ stamp(which is embossed with silver powder), Happy Harmony(sentiment, also embossed), glue dots(for 3-d effect), and M's ribbon. I'm terrible at bows so I simply do a nice knot tie...my sister will be here this weekend so she will have to teach me her bow-making technique:)

Notebook Swap...
These notebooks are for another swap I'm in. They are slightly larger than a recipe card, perfect size to jot down a "to-do" list! Supplies include: Making Memories PP, M's ribbon, Modpodge, Dimensionals, white gel pen, Label Classics, Edgy eloquence, Black stazon ink, and dimensionals. I was able to easily remove the spiral binding by simply twisting it off and my hole punch was an exact fit...its gives a very nice finished look to the notebook:)

Froggin' around...
He is one happy little frog I tell ya! I love all these little stamps in the Very Punny set. I was feeling very "spring-y" the last 2 days, but its now snowing in NY...ick! We will have to hold out a little longer. Although this weather does get me in the stampin' mood:) Supplies used: CM cardstock, CM circle punches, Very Punny stamp set, Dimensionals, Fresh Fillers bg, SU! brads, Making Memories PP, faux stitching, SU! window punch.

Lovin' the Prima tins:)
This is part of a combo gift for a friends new baby:) I also love to sew, so I will be including 2 burp cloths with this fun tin of chocolates. Supplies include: Junkitz PP, M's Ribbon, Cuttlebug Slider Die, faux stitching technique around the slider, A New Little Someone(stamped booties), and rhinestones for the booties. I also used address labels, stamped the booties on them, and wrapped them around the chocolate nugget. I used a little kraft filler inside since I have to ship this, it will prevent the candy from sliding around inside:) YUMMY!

Central Park in the Fall...
Just a few snap shots of the family and I. It was a nice crisp day in Central Park so we decided to pack the kiddos(currently preggers with no. 2 at this time, although we didn't know it yet:) up and take them for a pinic. To say the Park is BIG would be an understatement! It even has a Zoo inside...although I've heard its not worth the money...lol I enjoyed capturing pictures of Gracie running the Fall leaves and picking up every stick in sight(she is the son we don't yet have...lol).
This is how is ALL started!
I never much thought of paper crafting...of any kind...until I went to my first Creative Memories party in 03'. My hubby was deployed to Iraq so I had plenty of free time(pre-kids of course...lol) in the evenings. A gf called me up and asked me if I wanted to go(her hubby was deployed also) with, so I obliged:) It only took one class and I was hooked!! Almost a year later I became a CM consultant and continued for a little over a year. It introduced me to a whole new world and I started looking at my photographs more often! I then moved to NY and decided I just wanted to scrap for myself and no longer wished to be a consultant...same day I deactivated a new friend(armywife2sam)showed me a StampinUP! catty...HOOKED again...lol As they say...the rest is history:) I finally had the "urge" to do some scrapping. I have not done this in soo long...well since, finding stamps...lol My scrapping adventures had been on the back burner since diving into my new hobby of stamping. I have to say though, it has been a nice break and I feel refreshed! Year 05' album is nearly completed...woohoo! I jump around alot when I scrap...like to break it up so I don't get bored. The journaling is saved for last, probably on a night when its quiet(no kids at my ankles...lol) and I can put pen to paper and it be thoughtful:) I finished approx. 10 pages in the last two days, so it'll probably be another few months before I go at it again...lol This is my oldest, Gracie...she is now a BIG 3!

Little Lady...
Sweet little lady bug! I used Very Punny again...its such a versatile set! And of course I had to try out my new Textile Cuttlebug folder on the red CS. The center lady bug is backed on silver CS punched with my CM circle punches, and popped up with dimensionals. M's ribbon holds down the sentiment. Too cute!

Wedding March...
I thought this would be a nice change from all the other cards I have been doing! The size of the card is roughly 4x4. CS is from CM(white and silver), Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder, CM circle cutter, M's ribbon and Dollar spot stamp(wedding cake), demensionals on the back of the wedding stamp, and sentiment is from a stamp set that I bought at Archivers. Could either be used along with a wedding gift, or it would also make cute thank you cards!

Altered Prima Tins...
Having some more fun! These are the Prima tins that hold the "forever flowers" line. It only took one look and I knew it had more than one use:) The tins have a rough sanding on them so the paper and modpodge get a nice and rough surface to stick to. I used Flair design PP, Cuttlebug flowers folder, CM green CS(its stamped in Old Olive with Fresh Fillers bg stamp. And for an added touch I used a rhinestone on the flower. The flowers are raised on chipboard I cut with the Cuttlebug as well. I love that it also has the see-thru lid, but I'm not sure what I'm going to fill it with just yet!

Baby pocket notes...
I'm BACK!! I have been out of town with my family on some R&R. We decided to take the kiddos to Canada to visit Niagara Falls. It is exceptionally cold up there this time of year, but the upside is that you don't have the crowds and long lines to fight! I have also been away from my craft corner so I was itching to get busy with my paper tonight:) These cute pocket notes were just what I wanted to do. It seems everyone is "with baby" right now, so I thought I'd make these cards to have on hand. They are perfect to slip in with the gifts. Cardstock is StampinUp!, patterned paper is Junkitz, and Target brads. It was hard not to add too many embellishments, but I wanted to keep them clean and simple. I also have some cute altered Prima tins finished so you will have to tune in to tomorrows post:)

Cuddly baby blanket...
I did this cuddly blanket for a friends new baby. I thought the material was fitting since they are a Navy family and they have a new son. I had done a previous prototype(on a much smaller scale!), but wanted to go for the BIG one! I'm really pleased with how it turned out. My sewing machine probably needs a tune up with all the projects I've done the last few years. She was a little squeeky tonight, but got the job done:) I'm not big on sewing anything rounded, but I can sew a mean straight stitch...lol So what do you think?
