Cards for the Kiddos!

I love this little bunny! The images are stamped and "popped" up on dimensionals. The ribbon is from M's and the vellum circle frame is from Target. I also did the faux stitching technique on the outside border...tons o' fun! I'm still getting used to adding ribbon on my cards...wasn't sure how to secure it down just yet, but its coming along:)
.
I had alot of fun making this bug card! Its my new set, "bugs and kisses!" I just knew it would be perfect for my Nephews 1st birthday card. He is the first child of my twin sister. Our two babies are only 3 months apart! Anyhoo, he is ALL boy and I'm sure he will be digging up critters soon:) Just used CM cardstock, yellow and orange...ran the orange thru my "tiny bubbles" cuttlebug embossing folder. The center catapillar is "popped" up on demensionals

Martini anyone??

Just a simple invite I made up! The "martini" stamp is from Micheals dollar bin as well as the sentiment. Cardstock is from Creative Memories(used stampin'UP! "fresh fillers" BG stamp on the white CS) and I also made my own chipboard to "pop" up the glass. The frame around "celebrate" is my SU! hodpodge hardware:) Makes you want to sip a little...lol

Blooming Happiness...

Love this little pixie style dress! The ribbon inspired the colors of the card. I was having crafters block tonight...luckily it didn't last long! I will say that I did do another card after this one though and it will NOT be posted...lol I love the versatility of this stamp, it can be used for weddings and friendships:) I may go back later and add a little glitter to her flowers...yummy! The demensions of the card are roughly 3.5x3.5 square.

Snow fun!!

Gracie was soo excited so see the snow when she woke up this morning, that we just couldn't wait to take her outside and build a snowman! She requested that her snowman have a carrot nose and button eyes. Not that I have any buttons freely laying around...but I did happen to remember that I had just bought some brown buttons for my scrapping...just had to find where I stashed them?? Needless to say, we did find them and she was thrilled with her new buddy:) And if you know Gracie, everything to her is about her Family now! We got one snowman up, then she asked if we could do a G-ma,G-pa, Mommy, Daddy, and Addy snowmen...lol She keeps us in stitches thats for sure.

My first "swap"

I finally dove in and decided to join a "swap" thru Splitcoaststampers.com. I couldn't resist when I saw the subject line: "office-supplies" altered! Right up my alley with the Post-it note covers I just made:) They are super easy and fun. I'm really liking this paper as well...de-lish!

Another recycled Jelly Jar! This one reminds me of an old-fashioned candy shop. I cut the CS, modpodged the underside of paper to stick to the jar, cut chipboard with the cuttlebug and put "sweet stuff" stamped on CS over the "bugged" chipboard. Instead of painting the lid this time, I opted to cover it and add the ribbon around the rim for a finishing touch! For the chocolate nuggets I used Avery 8160 address labels and stamped. It was much easier to do this way than having to cut and glue all the wrappers back on:) Looks YUMMY right??!!

Big Blossom

Sweet BIG blossom! I love these colors together. The "Big Blossom" stamp is actually stamped on the reverse side of the patterned paper and then cut out. I made my own chipboard for the "Sweet" in the center, and used dimensionals to "pop" up the framed saying,"Dreams come a size too BIG so we can GROW into them." I have seen so many cute ideas with this big ol' stamp...and its BIG!

Happy Birthday:)

Simple birthday card for my Dad. It was nice to make something simple without the frill. Its hard for me think "manly" when it comes to crafting...especially hard since I have two little girls!! Its all about ribbons and bows for me. I used my "Happy Birthday" Cuttlebug(here I go AGAIN..lol) embossing folder on the printed paper, Tall Tales Alpha., pewter brads, CM cardstock, Hodgepodge Hardware(frame around the "happy birthday"), kraft ribbon, Black Stazon, and SU! Chocolate Chip Craft ink.

Just a little note...

Who says Post-It notes can't be cute?? Yup, thats whats underneath these cute sleeve covers I made:) I was also able to cut through "heavy-weight" chipboard with my precious Cuttlebug. Definitely skeptical at first, but I really wanted to try it! I was scared I'd bust a roller or crack the sandwich plates, but I took the risk anyway!! Look how cute the flowers and round postage stamp came out?? FUN, FUN, FUN!!

Just a little "loot" I picked up this weekend! I finally made it to Recollections in VA. Luckily it was just down the street from Chuck E. Cheese, where my 3yr. old was having her bday party:)...how conveient right?? Anyway, I really wanted to go visit the store because some ladies(who own a scrapbook store in OK) had been telling us about it when my sisters and I went home in January. Wish they had a closer location to us here in NY, but this works out good too since my In-laws live in VA its only a short drive:) Anyhoo, I only had about 15 mins. in the store and I was so excited that I only scanned through 3 isles!! I will definitely be back...they carry a HUGE asst. of Prima's(my FAV!), can you believe I only snagged 2 containers???...my hubby thanks you! I also managed to find some more scalloped chipboard from Lil' Davis, although its not as cute as the scalloped circles and squares I'm currently using. JOY!

Sassy clothespin

I've had a few of these plain pins stashed for a while now. I did this one up yesterday, but I'm not really sure I like it. I tend to do much better if the project is for someone else! I only used the big "bling" on it because I ran out of the little ones...have I really gone through 180 pieces?? For sure I haven't put all those little rhinestones to use??...lol Super quick and fun to make!

Addy "bugs" Name Frame

Yeah!! I have something to hang in Addisons room now! Her walls are "naked" and were screaming for some color. I used mostly StampinUp! products on here. Not a demo, just like what they have to offer:) I covered the letter chipboard with "My Minds Eye" CS and cut a blue matte to help the letters "pop" on the striped background. Covering chipboard is a little time consuming, but if you use precision scissors, the cuts are so crisp and clean. The green cardstock is stamped in Brilliant Blue with the following stamp sets: Bugs and Kisses, Very Punny, and Little Spots. I used Happy Harmony for the saying on the bottom right. The sage ribbon holding the letters is 1 single strip down the middle and tucked under each letter. I made the bows sep. and stuck them down with glue dots(gotta love those!!). For the mid-section I just used a thin baby blue rick rack ribbon and glued it down with Mod-podge. I know I used alot of blue and greens here, and although I'm not longing for a little boy, I just wanted to stay away from all the pink and sage I used with Gracie's nursery.

Cuttlebug Fever!

I LOOOOOVE my new Cuttlebug machine! Its just like the Sizzix, but BETTER! It takes up alot less space and of course, who could go wrong with the cute green color?? I think I'm addicted to the embossing folders:) I used the Swirls folder on the white card stock, SU! Label Classics, Letterpress Alphabet, M's ribbon, pink Prima Flower, rhinestone, and SU! Pink Craft Ink-which I used to lightly slide over the swirls to make them "pop". This is a sweet and feminine baby card for my Sister's friend.

I did it!!

Yeah, first post was a success!

Sweet Jelly Jar!

Ok, here goes!! My first post with picture, hopefully I have done this correctly??!!! How sweet is this candy jar? YUMMY! This was really simple and fun to do. Its a recycled Polaner Jelly Jar. I cleaned it out really well, sanded the lid, painted it with acrylic paint from Walmart, and slapped on some paper with modpodge(only coating the underside). Now all it needs is some goodies inside and a loving home:) Or should I say, "loving tummy"?

My two little inspirations!

Meet Gracie and Addison! Gracie is my vivacious 3 yr. old whos clock never stops! She keeps me on my toes and has picked up my love of crafting. She always wants to help Mommy out...sometimes a little too much:) Addison is my youngest, 7 months, and growing quickly....I swear I heard her say "mama" last night...or at least it was VERY close...lol I love to create little doo dads for both of them, and I'm currently working on a name frame for Addisons nursery. It should be done soon and I will eventually post on here.
Yeah!! I'm officially "blogging" now! I'm very excited about this! Its my chance to share my joy of crafting and scrapping!
